Kenyon Peirce Hall is a 3 STAR certified Green restaurant (dinegreen.com). The only other 3 star College dining program is Bates College. Kenyon Dining (AVI Fresh) truly purchases over 40% from the local community with a Sustainable Director John Marsh, who is a farmer, and his Assistant Charlotte purchasing produce, yogurt, local breads, etc… by travelling into the local food shed of the county. Kenyon has a Vegan side and an Omnivore side everyday to the fresh green salad bar. There is also a Grains bar and a Greek Yogurt bar, with most of the grains purchased from the local Amish farms. Vegan options are identified on all menus, and posted for the students to view (see photos). The servery has a Vegan section with a full size Vegan refrigerator serving only vegan choices. Kenyon College vegans are vocal to their wants and needs and our Chef Meagan responds quickly.
