The vast majority of Wellesley students enroll in the campus meal plan. Balancing a wide range of dietary restrictions and preferences could be tricky, but I’ve been impressed by the tremendous progress the college has made in the past couple years. There is a all-vegetarian, kosher dining hall with numerous vegan options like their breakfast tofu scramble. All dining halls have a vegan/whole grains bar where students can enjoy hot or cold tempeh stirfries, quinoa pilafs, curried chickpeas, etc. The options can sometimes be repetitive or bland, but that seems to be true of the meat dishes too.
My favorite part is probably the numerous, yummy vegan desserts. My least favorite part is the lack of vegan options for breakfast in Tower hall (options only include eggs, bacon, yogurt…they don’t even have peanut butter!)
