    Not sure if the PETA labeling is even correct; I’ve never seen non-dairy milk in any of the dining halls… at least not on tap. It’s hard to imagine a school that makes so much money on patent royalties for Vitamin D fortification of dairy milk would even agree to adding more options. They do label vegan meals, but good luck finding any.

    When Rheta’s market was all-you-can-eat, there were often a good amount of vegan options, though it was never guaranteed. This wasn’t true for all other dining halls, however, and Rheta’s has since gone back to an à la carte model which I imagine does not cater to vegans.

    I implore University Housing Dining and Culinary Services: if you can have a “Star Wars” themed dinner or a FREE tropical themed dinner or a baseball themed dinner, why not, for one night, go vegan? (Ideally as a promotional free dinner as was done previously for other events.) It would have a great impact on the students and on their dietary perspectives.

    Only large dining halls offer vegan options (sometimes), though said options are typically bland, undercooked, mostly rice, or overall inedible. Madison touts it’s “breadth of options” and claims to be “confident that all students can find something that fits their needs.” Yeah, maybe if I’m into (dressing-less) salad every day.
