We could have more vegan- friendly and healthy grab n’ go options. Also, the school lacks any vegan desserts and holidays/ special events on campus are an absolute vegan hell! Haha, Cinco de Mayo last year hardly had any vegetarian options (I had to go elsewhere on campus to eat that day).

They do offer non-dairy milk and they also have (partial) Meatless Mondays (where they hang a banner up promoting vegetarianism). All in all, the campus isn’t that bad. Most of the time you really do have to go out of your way to be able to find something to eat that is both vegan, tasty, and healthy (junk foods and plain, unseasoned vegetables seem to be our only two options). There is the occasional vegan entree (butternut pasta, exotic grains, oatmeal bar, etc) but I feel like those days are rare. They should have at least one healthy, exciting vegan entree a day.

I’m starting a vegan/vegetarian club on campus though. Hopefully we’ll be able to offer some more ideas and solutions for the vegans and omnivores on campus.
