The dining center at UC Merced has improved a lot since in the last year. They have added at least one vegetarian/vegan substitute for almost every entree at each station. This semester they have added the option of vegan pizza’s a few times a week, as well as vegan chili for every day of the week. They now have nondairy milk and some nondairy desserts. I am not fully satisfied but I know we will slowly improve tremendously as we approach 2020, as the school would like to become fully sustainable.

As a former student at this institution I do agree that their availability of vegan food is nonexistent and not reliable. Vegetarian needs are barley covered and was a constant struggle to obtain food that was vegan on campus.
