Student Reviews

I’ll divide this review by the two most visited dining halls.

Brough: Only offers most of its vegan options during peak hours. Has had a history of mis-labeling food items. Tuna salad is not “vegetarian”. A lot of vegetarian options are not vegan because they put cheese on top. They also fail to label food altogether on the occasion. Staff is willing to speak with students about vegan options, but will rarely take action. Staff had no idea if there was a student advisory board or similar committee.

Fulbright: Definitely has better vegan options than Brough. Dining hall is on the outskirts of campus, so not a lot of students frequent it. Will generally assist students looking for vegan options.

Overall, I would not recommend purchasing a meal plan. If many of these easy mistakes were addressed, I would be more likely to purchase a meal plan. Daily labeling errors and recipe changes is not acceptable for those who are vegan and/or have allergies. They do little to promote vegan options.

The dining halls have a good salad bar, have veggie burgers, and grilled vegetables everyday. Ontop of that, they always have at least one other vegetarian option (that is usually vegan as well). They have non dairy milk and a make your own stiffly and pasta to which you can customize to make it vegan easily.
