UNCG offers very little vegetarian or vegan fare. If I did not have the option to drive to local Thai and Mediterranean restaurants, I would be eating piles of iceberg lettuce every day. There are no organic options, unless you are willing to buy pre-pakaged snacks. It is nearly impossible to find vegan options that aren’t wilted, and from a small salad bar. Often times my “vegan” option comes with cheese and/or sour cream. We need fresh, vegan options that aren’t simply a packaged raw bar from the Starbucks or salads.
