Student Reviews

  • L. Noel

SPU claims to check off all of these boxes but does the bare minimum to appeal to vegan students. they regularly allow for cross contamination (shown in a photo below of a plant based pasta option side by side with an option containing meat) and often times the only edible vegan option available to students is a salad or bowl of rice. as the ONLY dining option for meals on campus this year and with a high population of minority and low income students being required to pay for a meal plan- its upsetting that Gwinn dining hall gets to receive such a high rating for their vegan “options” while students have to rely on spending even more money off of campus in order to actually eat regular meals.

This year, SPU started a plant-friendly bar that serves a plant friendly meal every breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It incorporates local vegetables of the season.
