The Neilson dining hall has vegan egg in their cook to order omelette station. Vegan desserts are labeled and in their own area (typically one everyday for lunch/dinner). There is also a cook to order stir fry station that always has tofu and a selection of veggies and vegan sauces. There isn’t vegan Mayo, but there is always a fridge full of nondairy milk next to the espresso and coffee station.

Labels vegan desserts, Promotes vegan options, Participates in Meatless Mondays, it’s really pushing the vegatarian and healty dining options to the point of upsetting the meat eaters.

Rutgers offers plenty non dairy milk. They don’t have vegan deserts and I can’t comment on if they have a vegan member on the advisory board. I would say they promote vegan options and they have ways for students to communicate to staff to accommodate everyones needs, however this could be improved. Rutgers provides labeled meatless Monday options, however they still serve meat on Mondays. They are close to having an all vegan section if they just split up the vegan food from the vegetarian. And unfortunately we have no vegan dining facility. This is all Busch dining hall I’m speaking about BTW, I can’t comment on the others

The school offers rice milk, almond milk, and soy milks. They also highly promote vegan options as they have vegan nuggets for takeout (always my favorite day of the week). Busch and Neilson always have vegan cheese and vegan meats available.

I went vegan while attending Rutgers and there is always nondairy milk available. They promote vegan options at their vegetarian station in the Busch Dining Hall. The Brower dining hall always has vegan ice cream sandwiches out. I don’t go to the Nielson dining hall much, but I hear it is even more vegan friendly than Busch. Busch labels certain foods vegan and offer Daiya cheese upon request on their pasta station. They also often have vegan meats like Vegan Philly Steak, Vegan burgers, Vegan Nuggets, Vegan “Chicken” Fingers, and Vegan Meatballs. I honestly believe the dining hall has made it even easier for me to be vegan because of the variety of options.

Rutgers DOES offer nondairy milk, both soymilk and rice milk, which are offered at all hours of the day. They do promote vegan options in the way that they offer them.
