Although I became vegan during my senior year at Loyola (during which time I did not have a meal plan), I noticed that it was a bit tricky to find good, vegan food available on campus. As far as snack food went, it was basically Naked juice, Oreo’s or whatever fruit they had that was not drooping over yogurt cups. Even most of the pretzels available were made with honey 🙁 My recollection of the campus dining hall was that there were definitely veggie burger, salad options and soy milk in the cafes, but very little more. I understand that not THAT many are vegan, but it would be in their best interest to provide more non-meat options — it is often the more affordable option for schools, after all!
