There is NOT always a vegan entree available! There is one meal provided under the “vegan/vegetarian” section daily, and half the time it is only suitable for vegetarians. The only vegan things that are always available are whatever leftover cold noodles they have, WHICH ARE LEFT COLD instead of heated up OR salad. People are constantly asking for more options and they are told their ideas are taken seriously, and they never are. Even the brown rice isn’t vegan. The potatoes aren’t vegan. Pasta and bread aren’t vegan. Almost anything you can get your hands on is not vegan, which is TERRIBLY concerning. Not only because I want to live a vegan lifestyle and it’s virtually impossible here, but also because it’s concerning to know that they are slipping animal products into literally EVERYTHING. Like, can someone explain why rice and potatoes have animal products in them? I literally never step foot in the dining hall, which sucks because as residential students, we’re required to have a meal plan. So, I’m buying groceries as well as paying for a meal plan that I don’t use, which I find ridiculous.
