There are three places to eat: The Dugout, Saga, and Tommys.
Tommys has a vegan wrap, but its just a tortilla with some overly grilled veggies. Really not good.
Theres also a place that sells smoothies, but they’re just canned fruit soaking in juice with some sorbet. It tastes very artificial. It is no where near a simple, homemade smoothie with REAL fruit.
The dugout has a fake chipotle, which is okay if you just want beans and rice, and a soup and salad bar, most of the time the soup not being vegan, and fake subway, where you can eat bread with lettuce and tomato.
Then theres saga. There is a vegetarian/vegan “line” which is usually just one dish and usually isn’t vegan. Theres also a “vegan bar” which includes lots of baked good, none of which are vegan, some hummus and weird cold salads (I’ve tried them all and they’re really not good) and some toast at the end.

I can not stand the food. I try being creative, by putting spinach with some noodles and marinara, but its still not very good. I payed $10 today for a piece of toast. The vegetarian option here are much better, but I really struggle with eating vegan.
I have to buy the $3,000 meal plan every semester, even though none of it is good. I tried to get a crock pot and rice cooker for my room, but those aren’t allowed because “The students shouldn’t be trying to make their rooms into kitchens”.
There’s a fantastic vegan grocery store near by called Common Grounds, and I try to pick up food from there, but I’m still paying for very expensive meal plan.

I would also like to add that there is not always one vegan entrée at every meal, including today. They don’t always label vegan entrées (i.e. soups), but there is nondairy milk. The chocolate soy milk is always out of order, though.
I really regret my choice to go to this school because I’m miserable due to the lack of vegan options. Is it that hard to just serve some rice and veggies?
