Vegan options are pretty limited. They do have Veggie burgers, but they’re the more traditional, starchy Veggie burgers that are mostly just potato starches instead of something higher in protein (eg Impossible, Beyond, Dr. Praeger’s Perfect Burgers, etc), and of course a salad but YMMV with that. The Red Mango can be a decent option if you are into smoothies, but I’m not sure if you can subsist on that.
There are Vegan snacks, namely Cliff Bars and Nugo Bars, and they have small cartons of Silk Chocolate Soy Milk, Very Vanilla Soy Milk, and Almond Milk, and they offer some non-dairy ice creams at the student center. If you have a car, there are places within a few miles of campus like Bareburger or Vinnie’s Pizzeria that offer a fair few Vegan options, but that can get expensive.
It’s unfortunate how an urban college in the year 2023 chooses to be a laggard and limits their menu of Vegan options. It can’t be that hard to have some frozen Vegan items in the freezer ready to heat up when someone asks.

Hofstra does not properly label all their foods. Some say vegan, others have no indication of what the ingredients could be. There is no dedicated vegan station, and some dinning halls on campus have zero vegan options besides prepackaged fruit. I am vegan and have an allergy to eggs, and one time I was eating honey mustard (which had previously been vegan) when I had a slight allergic reaction to find that they had recently changed the condiment and it now had eggs in it. The lack of labeling, late night options, and variety on this campus creates more stress on my life then going to school full time. Hofstra is not accommodating to those with multiple food allergies or the ethical choice of being vegan.
