I tried so much last year to make the required full meal plan work but it didn’t. The chef cooked vegan food for me, usually while all my friends were eating and when I came back to eat with them they were done. The options were few. I ate a lot of oily tofu and rice. The vegetables are either old and gross at the salad bar or cooked to death and smothered in soy butter. They almost never had a vegan option for all students. There was a stir-fry station that you could create a vegan meal at but it’s cooked on the same flat top as everyone elses’ food so you definitely have contamination. The food is bad in general but being vegan is a nightmare. On the weekends, the students run the kitchen and they have no idea what vegan means or what to do when a vegan asks for food. The college is fantastic, but if you’re vegan then don’t get the meal plan even if they tell you they will accommodate.
