PSU doesn’t even know what vegan means. There’s a “vegan bar” (salad bar) that had cottage cheese, shredded cheese, and dairy based dressings. Nothing vegan about that. They also had turkey listed as vegan on the menu the other day. The only things they regularly have out at the dining hall that are vegan are fries, rice, and over cooked veggies (and salad, but who wants to eat salad every day). They have never provided a vegan meat replacement, just sad looking vegetarian veggie burgers that contained milk and eggs. The other dining locations on campus don’t offer any selections either. They have fruit cups and chips at a regular concession stand type location and Wholly Habanero had a build your own nacho which is also really sad for vegans, and not very good. I’ve only gotten it once. The Einstein’s bagels on campus and Starbucks both offer dairy free milks to put in drinks though. I basically pay $7 a meal for rice and veggies. I’m really fed up with this school saying they provide “plenty” of vegan and vegetarian options when they clearly don’t. I’m not really sure what to do at this point since I’ve already written several reviews of the dining service. They just don’t seem to care.

There are very few vegan options available at the campus dining hall aside from the basics like salad and french fries. However, the staff is very accommodating and will customize food for you.
