Entire school literally made of salad

I went to the first Cal Poly Pomona vegan meeting yesterday, and it was really an eye opener. I never expected so much turnout and support (the auditorium was packed). They showed us a lot there, and also told us about your site (why I’m here up-voting my school). Our school has been doing a lot lately that is not reflected in the school report card to the left. For starters, we closed our slaughter house years ago, so the other review is totally wrong. We do have at least 2 vegan meals every day at the central campus cafeteria, we have nondairy milk (it’s pretty good), we might not label vegan desserts properly, but we have them available at most meal times. I’m excited for all the great things we can do for our animal friends.

Cal poly is a great school but completly fails in this portion. The only vegan options offered are salads and veggie subways. Apart from that they have a beef unit where they raise animals to slaughter. They also give people the choice to slaughter animals they bring in. I became a vegetarian after 3 years here but only recently found out about the slaughter house. If I had known my choice of attending would have probably changed. But it’s not really something they like to put out in the admissions website That is probably why they didn’t want to fill your survey out.
